“Intro” by M83 aka An Epic Start to an Epic
Remember back when M83 mastermind/acid wizard Anthony Gonzalez said that his new record would be “very, very, very epic”? Well here’s the first track off said record and it’s, um, SO FUCKING EPIC! It’s called “Intro” and features the gothed-out wailings of Zola Jesus (aka Stevie Nicks mark II). Synths build on top of impassioned vocals on top of more synths until the whole thing feels like it could collapse under its own hugeness. But it doesn’t because Gonzalez is a fucking g. If the whole record ends up like this all of our heads might explode and/or implode. I’m so down.
